New TVS Apache RTR 2012 Launch Later This Week?
The new TVS Apache RTR 2012 launch, which was slated to happen today, seems to have been postponed to a later date. The Indian motorcycle manufacturer has now come out with a statement on Facebook saying that the company has started despatches of the new TVS Apache RTR from its Mysore plant.
TVS had earlier announced that the company will roll out its facelifted Apache RTR flagship model on 23rd April (today). The new post from TVS also added that the bikes will reach the dealerships by end of this week. Hence, from what the company has said, it could be expected that the new TVS Apache RTR 2012 will be launched sometime later this week.

This is what TVS has said on its Facebook page: “It gives us tremendous pleasure in informing that we have started the 2012 Edition Apache Series RTR despatches from our Mysore mother plant. While we have commenced the despatches of the 2012 Apache Series RTR to our Dealer Network; these will reach across our network by end of this week. We shall officially make Press Announcement by tentatively end of the week."
The TVS Apache RTR has been lacking a timely redesign for some time now. However, the spy shots that have emerged on the internet clearly shows that the new TVS Apache 2012 model has striking similarities to the Bajaj Pulsar 220, which is not so great.
Other than a few cosmetic changes, the engine of the new TVS Apache RTR 2012 remains the same without any increase in power or torque. There has been no word from TVS on the price of the 2012 edition, however, let's expect the company reveals all details of the bike in a few days time.
