Bajaj Set To Launch KTM Duke 200 Tomorrow
Bajaj Auto, which owns the Austrian bike manufacturer will be unveiling the KTM Duke 200 and will also reveal details such as its price, features and specifications in Delhi.. The Duke will be manufacturer in India and this will possibly make it one of the cheapest bikes in its segment. Although the Duke is an austrian bike, Bajaj will be using lot of local content to bring its price down.
The KTM Duke 200's price in India is expected to be just over Rs.1 lakh. Some reports say it could be priced between the Yamaha R15 and the Honda CBR 250R. The sports bike has been seen several times in Maharashtra where it was being tested. It is powered by a 200cc liquid cooled engines that can produce a maximum power of 25bhp and peak torque of 20Nm. The engine is paired with a six speed manual.
The Duke will be the ultimate street fighter bike as it has a top speed of 140kmph and can accelerate briskly due to its short gearing. It is expected to offer a decent ride considering it has upside down front forks and a monoshock rear suspension. It also has top of the line digital instrumentation display.
The Duke 200 will soon be followed by the new Bajaj Pulsar. Both bikes will provide Bajaj Auto more margins than the regular commuter bikes. While the mystery around the KTM Duke 200 will be over within a day, we will have to wait a little bit longer to know ore about the new Bajaj Pulsar.
