Suzuki Swish 125 – Features, Specs and Price

The Suzuki Access 125 has been undoubtedly the best selling scooter in its segment. The Access has been such a huge success that Suzuki has brought in another scooter in the same segment. While some might consider this move as suicidal as the Access is already a success, Suzuki is of the opinion that a new scooter in the same segment will reduce the pressure on the Access which already has a long waiting period.

The new 125cc scooter from Suzuki is the Swish, which was unveiled at the recently concluded Delhi Auto Expo. The Swish is powered by a 125cc engine that has already impressed us in the Access. Suzuki is aiming the new Swish at the urban youth who prefer to have a powerful two wheeler without the trouble of having to shift gears.

The Swish 125 is expected to be priced above Rs.40,000 when it hits Indian showrooms. It will have all the features that we have already seen in the Access. Some of the notable ones are the telescopic front fork suspension that can handle rough Indian roads well and the powerful rear and front drum brakes.

The Swish will have a six litre fuel tank and an under storage capacity of 20 litres. Such storage space will allow the user to store a full size helmet without any problems. The 125cc engine is capable of generating 8.5 bhp which will be more than enough to zip around city roads.

The most important aspect about the Swish will be its mileage. While we expect it to offer the same levels of mileage as that of the Access, do not be surprised if it is able to offer a kilometer or two better than the Access as Suzuki appears to have used lighter materials in the construction of the Swish automatic scooter.
