Triumph To Open Three Showrooms Across India

Triumph Daytona 675
Triumph, the iconic British motorcycle brand which made its debut at the recently concluded Delhi Auto Expo is all set to begin business in India. The company has announced it will be setting up its first showrooms in the country in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. It is also considering Chandigarh as a possible fourth option.

Triumph's showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore will have both the CKD as well as CBU motorcycles offered by the company. Triumph is importing four models to Indian through the CKD route to keep costs down. The CKD motorcycles coming to India are:

Bonneville
Street Triple 675
Speed Triple
Daytona 675

Triumph has not revealed where it will be assembling these bikes in India. Assembling bikes here will help reduce prices and also attract more buyers. In another advantage, other superbike manufacturers will also be forced to keep prices low to maintain competition.

Triumph will also import three motorcycles in the CBU form and they are the Rocket III Roadster, Storm and the Tiger 800XC. These three models will be niche vehicles and will be priced slightly higher than the CKD bikes.

Triumph is considering India to be a very important market and is planning to expand its dealer network in the country within the next two years. Reports say it intends to open 12 Triumph showrooms across India.
