Hyosung Launches GT250R At Rs.2.7 Lakhs
Hyosung has officially begun its partnership with DSK by launching its latest sports bike the GT250R in India with a starting price of Rs.2.7 lakhs. The GT250R is aimed at the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja and Honda CBR 250R considering its high price tag. We were expecting the price to be under the Rs. 2 lakhs mark.
The new Hyosung bike is powered by a 250cc 28bhp V-Twin four stroke engine that delivers a maximum torque of 23Nm. The engine uses dual cooling technology with an oil cooling set up as well as an air cooling mechanism. The engine gets fuel injection technology that allows for better fuel economy and performance. It is paired with a five speed manual gearbox that Hyosung claims will help the GT250R deliver top notch performance.

The Hyosung GT250R comes equipped with monoshock suspension, twin disk brakes in the front, single disk brake in the rear and upside down fork suspension in the front. The new Hyosung bike looks massive despite being powered by a 250cc engine. The reason behind this is that it is based on the big and heavy GT650R.
DSK-Hyosung will soon open showrooms across the country and the GT250R will be available from today itself the company has stated that it will begin deliveries in two weeks time. Hyosung's new bike will be available in three twin tone colour combinations of white-red, red-black and silver-red.
While the GT250R's price can be considered high, it is expected to come down once DSK begins complete assembly of the bike here in India. The fact that Hyosung split with Garware Motors recently and DSK has just took over the manufacturing facility in Wai did not provide enough time for Hyosung to build sufficient number of GT250Rs.
DSK-Hyosung has announced extensive localization plans which will bring down the price of not only the GT250R but also other Hyosung bikes such as the GT650N, GT650R and the ST7.
