Bajaj Pulsar Sales Hit 5 Million Magic Number

Bajaj-Pulsar-Old-New
Indian motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj's Pulsar brand has crossed 5 million sales since since its launch in 2001. The motorcycle manufacturer claimed that the 5 millionth Pulsar was sold in the month of March, 2012. However, Bajaj did not reveal which model did the best for the company, ie the bike has seen many generations since the first Pulsar.

A statement by Bajaj Auto read: “The highest ever annual sales (of motorcycles). Pulsar cumulative sales exceeded 5 million units since launch.” Bajaj never had to turn back since the launch of the Pulsar in 2001. The Pulsar was then offered as 150cc and a 180cc models.

The Pulsar is one of the Indian bikes which has undergone a number of facelifts since its arrival. It conquered the market by pulling down sales of the then best seller Hero Honda Splender. Bajaj's strategy of pricing the Pulsar at competitive levels has also played a major role in the success of the brand.

Meanwhile, the next generation Pulsar 200 NS is all set be launched by the end of this month. The 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS which is said to be the most technologically advanced Pulsars yet is expected to be priced below Rs 1 lakh. We can expect the new generation Pulsar will help the brand achieve further landmarks.
