Royal Enfield Begins Philippines Innings
Filipinos can now get to experience how the Indian bullet rides. Royal Enfield will be selling the Classic 500, Classic Chrome 500, Desert Storm, Electra Deluxe and the Classic 500 Battle Green in Philippines. The company"s first dealership is now open for business in the capital city of Manila.
You might notice two models in this list are not quite familiar. The first on is the Chrome 500 Battle Green. The Indian Government does not allow the use of this colour in non military vehicles. The other motorcycle is the Electra Deluxe which is only exported to other countries and is not sold in India.
The Royal Enfield dealership in Philippines will also offer after sales service. One of the top selling points for Royal Enfield in Philippines is its 500 cc engine. The single cylinder engine is one of the very rare engines that offers a fuel economy of more than 30kmpl. The cruise bike maker has managed to handle stringent emission norms only due to the performance of this engine.
The notable motorcycle that is not yet launched in Philippines is the new Thuderbird launched during the Delhi Auto Expo. The new Thuderbird which is expected to be launched in India in the later half of this year is also expected to make a huge international impact considering its new design.
