Royal Enfield Not To Build Diesel Bullet

Here is a disappointing news for those who had put their hopes on Royal Enfield. The bike maker reportedly wont be making diesel engined Bullets in the near future. Earlier, it was reported that the prestigious brand was planning to produce diesel engines for its motorcycles and thereby entering a new motorcycle segment.

Now it has been reported that it was just an immature idea by the Royal Enfield officials and the chances of producing a diesel engined Bullet in the near future was dim. Royal Enfield had been building diesel powered Bullets earlier but the product was stopped following stricter emission norms.

The diesel powered Bullets were frugal but were not liked for its performance comparing to the petrol models. The riders had to suffer heavy vibrations from the engine.

Currently, the company sells the Classic 350 and the Classic 500 along with the Electra and Thunderbird models. Royal Enfiled also exports its bikes to other companies from India.
