Hero MotoCorp Posts 11% Jump In Feb Sales

The company which was expected to struggle after it ended its partnership with Honda has not lost any sales and in fact growing well above expectations. It continues to offer India's best selling commuter bikes in the form of the Splendour and Passion. It has recently tied up with American motorcycle manufacturer Erik Buel Racing to enhance its position in terms of technology and design.
It might be recalled that Hero had a long standing partnership with Honda than ended last year. Hero has now emerged as an independent company but will have to rely on Honda for technology for the next few years. Hero will get Honda's support only for a stipulated period and then it has to be on its own. This is the reason behind Hero looking for and finding an international partner.
Coming back to Hero MotoCorp's February sales, it had sold 4,72,055 vehicles in the corresponding period last year. In a statement to the mdia, Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said : “We have been consistently clocking over five lakh units in sales, and our performance in the first two months — January and February — has maintained that trend in both despatch and retail sales.”
The company recently launched the Impulse dual purpose bike and it its second bike in the sports bike segment after the Karizma.
