Yamaha June sales up 30%

India Yamaha Motor, the two wheeler manufacturer today posted a 29.98 per cent hike in its June sales after selling 36,595 units. Yamaha's sales in June 2010 was 28,155 units.

Yamaha in its statement said its domestic sales rose 28.86 per cent to 27,263 units while exports increased 33.35 per cent to 9,332 units. Exports of India Yamaha rose by 33.35% to 9,332 units from 6,998 units in the year-ago period, it added.

India Yamaha Motor Director (Sales and Marketing) Jun Nakata said: "We are very delighted with the consistent sales growth that we've been witnessing this year. The launch of the new variants of FZ series is driving our sales in both domestic and export markets."

India Yamaha Motor is planning to to reach out to customers in Tier II and III cities and is expanding its sales and service network.
