TVS Motor's June Sales Surge 14%
TVS Motor's sales increase of 14 per cent is a result of the company selling 1,82,456 vehicles this June as against the 1,59,688 units sold in the corresponding period last year. TVS Motor's cumulative sales in June increased by 7 per cent to 4,94,055 units from June 2010's sales of 4,63,840 units.
Here is sector wise breakup of sales in TVS. Two Wheeler sales surged 14 per cent after 1,78,633 sales. Scooters sales also increased this June marking a 21 per cent increase from 44,281 sales. Motorcycle sales increased just five per cent with TVS selling 69,859 units in June 2011.
TVS Motor in its release has stated that its exports in June had jumped a whopping 48 per cent with total sales at 26,359 units from last year's 17,782 units.
TVS said sales of its three wheelers also registered a 27 per cent increase this June. The company sold 3,822 vehicles as compared to the 3,003 units sold in June 2010. TVS said cumulative three wheeler sales between April and June stood at 11,423 units.
