TVS Marks Impressive July With Apache RTR ABS

Indian two wheeler manufacturer TVS has reported its July sales figures. The third largest two-wheeler manufacturer of the country said it sold 14 per cent more vehicles in July. TVS' sales in July was at 189,962 units as against the 166,214 units the company sold in the corresponding period last year.

TVS' exports also increased 34 per cent to 28,542 vehicles in July. The company also has a three wheeler division that is manufacturing auto rickshaws for the domestic as well as the international market.

TVS's sales in July was driven by the success of the new Apache RTR 180 ABS. This is the first Indian bike to be available with Anti Lock Braking (ABS). TVS also manufactures the Jive, Star City, Flame and Sport motorcycles. TVS also has a growing market share in the scooter segment with models such as the Scooty Pep, Wego, Scooty Teens and Scooty Streak.
