Mahindra To Relaunch Stallio This Year

Mahindra had earlier tried to enter the commuter motorcycle sector by launching the Stallio. The Mahindra Stallio failed to reach customers primarily due to its malfunctioning gear box. MTWL has made the necessary changes to the Mahindra Stallio's gearbox and is hoping the latest variant will be a success.
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd is keen to offer more motorcycles despite increasing demand for its scooters. The company which is already participating in the Moto GP through the Mahindra Racing team intends to participate in the 125 cc category of the 2011 Moto GP championship. The company intends to use its experience in the competition to develop new 125cc motorcycles.
Mr Shinde elaborated on the plans by saying: “We have a strategic intent to be an end-to-end player in the two-wheeler market. Over a period of time, we will have presence in the motorcycle segment as well." He added that Mahindra's participation in this year's Moto GP would go a long way in creating a brand space for itself in the motorcycle market.
Mr Shinde also said: “Although our major emphasis is on scooter market, with increasing demand in the rural and semi urban markets, we are also committed towards the motorcycle segment. Work is on developing 135cc and 155cc motorcycles."
The Mahindra Stallio is a stylish city motorcycle that comes with sturdy looks and satisfactory performance. Its 110 cc engine offers enough punch to travel through city traffic.
