LML To Re-Enter Indian Market By Launching Freedom

LML Freedom
LML, the erstwhile scooter and bike manufacturer is set to re-enter the Indian market by launching several new models. It is going to begin by launching India's first 200cc geared scooter. This will be followed by a 125cc gearless scooter that will compete with the Suzuki Access125, TVS Wego and the Mahindra Rodeo.

LML is also planning to launch a four stroke scooter, called Select 4,exclusively for the national capital region. This model can be launched in the rest of the country on basis of the response it gets in the NCR. Another important plan of the two-wheeler manufacturer is to relaunch the LML Freedom, its best selling motorcycle before it stopped operations in India.

The new LML Freedom will us e the same platform as used in the previous version. However the new Freedom will be a much evolved product with improved design and dynamics. LML will also use a brand new engine for the Freedom. The engine is expected to be more fuel efficient and powerful. The LML Freedom is all set to enter the already hot 100cc-125cc segment.

The launch of the LML Freedom is definitely a good news for motorists as it was one of the few Indian models that had offered a truly likeable design along with perfect performance. It was indeed sad that a company that built bikes like the LML Freedom and the Vespa scooter had to close down for such a long period. If the new LML Freedom is able to capture the imagination the Indian consumer as its predecessor, there is little doubt that the new model from LML will pose serious competition to its counterparts.
