Kawasaki Ninja 650R At Just 4.5 Lakh

Kawasaki Ninja 650R will be priced at Rs. 4.5 lakh according to sources. The price of the super bike has amused bike enthusiasts. Earlier reports suggested the new super bike would carry a price tag of about Rs.5 lakh. Bajaj Auto has announced that it would be launching the Kawasaki Ninja 650R on 8th June. Bajaj has cleverly priced the Ninja 650R as it is lower than its closest competitor, the Hyosung 650R.

Hyosung launched the 650R last month with much fanfare. The bike had a list price of Rs.4.7 to Rs. 4.9 lakhs. The Kawasaki Ninja 650R is not only cheaper than the Hyosung, It also carries a better brand image thanks to the Ninja 250R. The Kawasaki bike also comes with a smooth engine and an ergonomic design that will please motorists. The Japanese bike maker has a reputation of building super bikes with silky smooth engines.

The Kawasaki Ninja 650R's price has been set lower than the expected figure so that it can dominate the sector. Kawasaki had missed the plot earlier when it priced the Ninja 250R one lakh above the Honda CBR 250R. Bajaj Auto appears to be keen to dominate the super bike sector with competitive pricing. The bike maker is currently building the Kawasaki Ninja 650R at its manufacturing plant in Chakan, Maharastra. Kawasaki and Bajaj Auto have been in a partnership since two decades.
