Honda Motor To Boost Motorcycle Sale

The Japanese auto company Honda"s Indian wing Honda Motor has set the triple jump of growth in the next five years for its Honda motorcycle sale in India. This comes in the wake of its breakaway from its long stinted partner, Hero Motors.

In a bid to hike the sale of its subsidy company Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India the company is on the verge of increasing the production from the current 1.55 million annual units. For this the second facility in Rajasthan is all set for its operation from the second half of 2011whihc will make the increased production to 2.2 million annual units in a year"s time from then on.

In addition there will be a third facility for the company, said the report from Nikkei. All these expansion activities will incur an investment of Rs10 billion which includes launching of a new 250cc sports bike in March 2011. There will be new sale outlets in select zones and regions across the country, it is learnt.
