Hero Moto Launches Logo and Two New Models

Hero Honda founder Brijmohan Lal unveiled the new logo in the presence of several celebrities including Shahrukh Khan and pop singer Akon. This event officially marks the beginning of Hero Motocorp as an independent company after it ended its joint venture with Honda last year.
The unveiling of the logo was followed by the launch of two new models the Hero Impulse motorcycle and the Maestro ungeared scooter. These two new models will hit the market later this year. The Maestro is powered by a 109cc engine also found in the Honda Activa. The Impulse motorcycle powered by a 150cc engine appears to be a rebadged Honda NXR, which is sold by Honda in Brazil.
One of the highlights of the event was Music Director A R Rahman singing Hero MotoCorp's new jingle. This was followed by the two wheeler manufacturer announcing Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor as its new brand ambassador.
Here MotoCorp during the launch announced that it will be building two new factories in India. One of the plant will be located in the western part of India and the other will be situated in south India. The plants will most likely be built in Gujarat and Karnataka. The Gujarat plant is expected to deliver models for exports while the Karnataka plant will cater to the ever increasing Indian market. The firm will also build a parts plant in the state of Rajastan.
