Hero Honda Might Go For A Name Change Shortly

Hero Honda, the country"s largest selling two-wheeler company might not have the famous brand name, if the media reports are to go by. It is said that Hero Group has applied for a name change to Hero Moto from Hero Honda.

Further, it is said that the brands under the Hero Honda group will remain unchanged. In December 2010, the Hero group had split from its 20-year old joint venture partner Honda group with the Munjals having Honda's 26 percent stake in the already split joint venture.

Also, the name change process is expected to consume a period of about two months however more details are yet to be disclosed.
