By June this year, the country"s second largest two wheeler maker Bajaj would have installed 130 new dealers across the country. This would envisage job opportunities to nearly 7000 personnel and according to the Bajaj President for Motorcycle business, Bajaj is completing the process in much shorter time than the normal 9-12 months. The selection of the dealers was carried out through the internet and the delegation on various parameters. He further said the new dealers will commence the preliminary operations from March and the full-fledged one from June. These dealers were selected in December last and the due information have been conveyed to them, he said. On an average, a new dealer can man nearly 50 personnel to increase the native economy thereby installing assignments for more than 7000 people.

The addition of these 130 new dealers will make the net number to 600 and the process was made from 4000 enquiries and 2700 online citations from the corners of the country. In addition Bajaj has shelled Rs18 crore to upgrade its service centers in the country for matching the DTS-I technology employed in its Discovery and Pulsar. The President said Bajaj has the objective to reach the uncovered regions, thereby increasing its market area, sales and market share. The smaller towns are hitherto secondary regions which need support and identification, he said further.
