Baja Auto To Launch New Pulsars in Indonesia

Bajaj auto India"s second largest two-wheeler maker has decided to launch new versions of its Pulsar motorcycle in Indonesia. Bajaj auto currently assemble the Pulsar 135 in Indonesia. The company's sales in 2010-2011 increased by 81 per cent mainly due to the Pulsar 135.

Bajaj Auto now wants to introduce more Pulsar models and increase its presence. It will launch the Pulsar 220 in Indonesia this year and follow it up with a even more models. Bajaj Auto has so far invested Rs.137.82 crores in its Indonesian subsidiary PT Bajaj Indonesia. The Indonesian division has increased localisation of parts to ensure reduced production costs.

The Bajaj Pulsar is India's best selling sports bike and it played a critical role in establishing Bajaj Auto as India's second largest two wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj is now hoping that the Pulsar will also boost its international ventures.
