Suzuki Counters Ninja 250 With New Inazuma 250

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki is considering to enter the 250cc super bike in India in the form of the new Inazuma 250. The new bike will be competing against the Kawasaki Ninja 250 and the Honda CBR 250.

Suzuki has been selling commuter bikes or super bikes and this is the first time it is planning to sell a bike in the intermediate level of 250cc bikes. Suzuki had initially planned to launch the GW 250 in India but the bike appears to have got itself a new name in the Inazuma. The Inazuma looks exactly like the GW250 confirming our doubts.

The Suzuki Inazuma will most likely be on display at the forthcoming 2012 Delhi Auto Expo. Suzuki might decide upon its launch after assessing the response of the public. The superbike is powered by a 248cc parallel twin engine that can generate 26bhp and 24Nm of torque.

The 250cc motorcycle segment will finally get crowded as the Honda CBR 250 and Kawasaki Ninja 250 were the only ones around. There are speculations about a more powerful 250 cc Pulsar and a 250cc Hyosung being under development. The arrival of the Suzuki Inazuma will definitely make the field more competitive. Motorcycle enthusiasts can now enjoy the variety of choice that they did not have a few years ago.
