Sunil Munjal Is The New Hero MD

Hero MotoCorp, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has appointed Sunil Kant Munjal as its new Joint Managing Director. Mr Munjal will occupy the post for five years according to the company's statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Mr Sunil Kant Munjal has been a board member with Hero MotoCorp and he will now share executive responsibilities with his brother Pawan Kant Munjal. The Hero Group promotes the Hero MotoCorp. The company bought Honda's 26 per cent stake in Hero Honda, India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer. This gave the Hero Group comlete control over Hero Honda.

The company embarked on a complete re-branding exercise. The process was completed recently when Hero MotoCorp unveiled its new logo at a grand ceremony in London. It also launched the Impulse motorcycle and the Maestro Scooter.
