Hero Motocorp Posts Record Sales And Profits

Hero MotoCorp has reported a quarterly net profit at Rs. 603.62 crore, up 19.93 per cent. Turnover during this period was also higher at Rs. 5,829.32 crore, up 28.06 per cent from Rs. 4,551.95 crore.
Sales also increased to record levels during this quarter at 15,44,315 units as compared to 12,85,944 units in the same period last year. Sales increased by an impressive 20.09 per cent.
The firm, earlier known as Hero Honda, also saw its highest ever quarterly vehicle sales at, up 20.09 per cent.
Hero MotoCorp Managing Director and CEO Pawan Munjal said: "Our bottom line results reflect our record top line performance over the past six months. This performance has come despite the rising food inflation and fuel costs".
Hero MotoCorp has already sold more than 3 million units during the first half of this year and is on its way of selling more than 6 million units this financial year.
The company yesterday launched the Impulse dual purpose 150cc motorcycle in India. The company is expected to launch the Maestro scooter in the near future.
