Suzuki Will Launch New Scooter In Delhi Auto Expo
Incidentally the Access 125 is India's most powerful automatic scooter. It is selling like hot cakes and commands a waiting period of three months. It is preferred by all classes of people for its power and quick acceleration. The Access can be quicker than many commuter motorcycles.
Suzuki has only said it wants to launch a new scooter but has not specified on the technicalities of the new model. The company is struggling to meet the high demand for the Access and it remains to be seen how it will cope with two scooters in its line-up.
Atul Gupta, VP (marketing & sales) at Suzuki Motorcycles India while speaking about its plans said: “We cannot cope with the demand with our single scooter offering, Access 125. So we plan to come out with a second model, which will be launched during the upcoming Auto Expo."
Suzuki is towing the lines of Honda by launching a new scooter. Honda has three scooters in its line-up all powered by the same 100cc engine – Activa, Dio and the Aviator. These three scooters with their different look and design are targeted at different at different age groups of people. It remains to be seen how Suzuki will design and develop its new scooter.
