Hero MotoCorp Launches Impulse At Rs.66,800
The Impulse is a 150cc motorcycle that has been designed to tackle both on road conditions as well as off road conditions. You will be seeing more of the Impulse during the India-England cricket series through television advertisements. The Hero Impusle will also be given away to the man of the match of all five matches.
Anil Dua, Hero MotoCorp's Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) isquoted to have said: “The Impulse is the first bike from us which will be sold only under the Hero brand. We have already started dispatches and it will soon be available at showrooms in metros and Tier-I cities." during the launch event of the motorcycle.
Mr Dua has said the Impulse's price is slightly premium when compared to other 150cc motorcycles but added the dual purpose bikes features and specifications will help it justify its price tag. Hero MotoCorp's other 150-cc bikes include the Achiever, CBZ Extreme and Hunk are priced between Rs 55,925 and Rs 65,215 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Hero Impulse will initially be sold in metros and tier I cities. It will then be sold in smaller cities in a phased manner. However the Impulse will be made available in major showrooms for buyers to have a test drive
The Impulse is powered by a 150cc four stroke engine that is already seen in the Honda NXR Bros. The Impulse is virtually an exact copy of the Honda but for some cosmetic changes. The engine can generate 13.8bhp and 13.6 Nm of torque. The engine has been designed to be rev happy and will mean more power at lower gears.
