Digital Bike Locking System To Prevent Robbery

Bike thefts have become a huge menace particularly in cities. There are several gangs who use sophisticated equipment to steal bikes parked in offices and on roads. Hereis an Indian innovation that will help in preventing bike thefts.

The innovation has been developed by an engineering college graduate, Karthik, who graduated from Dhanalakshmi Engineering College, Tamil Nadu. This young inventor has developed a digital bike locking system that will ensure the engine does not start even if the bikes cables are tampered with.

The digital bike locking system blocks two important functions whenever it is locked. It stops the flow of fuel to the engine and also deactivates the spark plug. This will ensure the engine does not start and a thief will not be able to drive your bike away. The system also has an alarm that will make a shrill noise whenever some one tries to tamper with the bike.

The alarm can be deactivated only when a numerical password is used on a num pad provided next to the milometer. Karthik has stated that he has obtained copyrights for his invention and is open to co-ordinate with automakers to use his invention in a large scale.

Karthik has said the digital bike locking system will cost about Rs.700 and added the production cost would come down if large sale production is undertaken. He has called upon investors and auto makers to make use of his invention.
