Images Of The New Yamaha R1 Leaked!

Yamaha R1
New images of the 2012 Yamaha R1 have surfaced in the internet. The images appear to be taken in the Yamaha factory itself and are of the 50th anniversary version of the R1. The new bike will be limited edition model and will be launched in international markets soon.

The images show that the new R1 is not radically different from the current model in terms of design. Yamaha's competitors need not worry about the new R1 taking the world by storm as the Japanese bike manufacturer appears to have added a couple just a of colours and the frontal design has got some cosmetic design changes.

The only vital difference between the current R1 and the 2012 R1 is that the new model will get a new traction control system with seven different settings. As far as the design, the new R1 has a redesigned top yoke and reshaped air intakes.

Yamaha will be making just 2,000 units of the 2012 Yamaha R1 50th Anniversary edition. We shall have to wait and watch if some of these changes in the new R1 trickle down to the Ri5 which is sold in India. Watch out for more details on the super bike here on www.drivespark.com.
