BMW's E-Scooter Concept Impresses All

The design of the BMW eScooter is very innovative. The front looks very similar to that of a superbike while the rear design is that of a scooter. The electric two wheeler has been given a metallic grey and green finish to indicate its eco friendliness.
BMW started working on this concept with an aim of developing an electric scooter that is similar in performance with a 600cc petrol powered scooter. The BMW eScooter can cruise easily at over 100kmph and can be charged within three hours.
The BMW eScooter has lot of firsts to its name. BMW has replaced the usual metal chassis of the scooter with the batteries. The aluminium battery not only powers the eScooter but also acts as the primary weight carrier. The Steering head as well as the rear shock absorbers are directly connected to the battery.
Another innovation in the BMW eScooter is the use of regenerative charging that will boost the battery's power by as much as 20 per cent depending on how you drive it. This is the same technology that has been used in Formula 1 cars and it is known as KERS – Kinetic Energy Retention System.
