Desert Storm and Classic Chrome Are Impressive

Motorcycle enthusiasts across the country will have their own favourite brands but the one brand that stands on top in every body"s list is the Royal Enfield. It is India"s smallest bike manufacturer in terms of production capacity and sales and yet it remains one of the most preferred bikes by people across the country. The two wheeler manufacturer is now adding more beautiful models to its line-up.

We had earlier reported about the launch of the new Classic Chrome 500 and the classic 500 Desert Storm. These two limited edition models have had an incredible impact on Royal Enfield buyers with several people opting for the new models even after booking the regular Classic 500.

On a recent visit to a Royal Enfield showroom in Bengaluru, this writer saw a 19 year old boy along with his father trying out the recently unveiled Classic 500 Desert storm. Both of them were awestruck by the sheer difference the new paint colour and the matt finish have brought to the new bullet. The dealer on inquiry said the Desert Storm which is now available with an on road price of Rs.1,61,000 in Bengaluru has been a rage and has already received several bookings.

A popular chocolate advertisement says you need to earn it and not just buy it. The same adage can be used for a royal Enfield motorcycle too. We are able to say this because of the fact that you need to wait at least six to eight months to get your new Bullet after booking it. Production at Royal Enfield"s plant is going at full swing and yet this is not been able to match the huge demand the bike brand commands.

Fortunately Royal Enfield appears to have realized the potential of the Classic Chrome 500 and the Classic 500 Desert Storm and has increased production of these two models. The waiting period for the Desert storm is just over four months. The Classic Chrome 500 as expected gets loads of chrome on the fuel tank as well as on the wheel arches. The paint work on the tank is even now meticulously hand painted by crafty painters.

The Desert Storm is finished in a colour that we haven"t seen in motorbikes. The matt finish helps add to the colour"s class. One of the buyers at the showroom was inquiring if the colour will also be available in the Classic 350. The dealer could only shrug his shoulders.
