Honda Motors To Launch 100cc Motorcycle

Honda Motors, the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer has revealed plans to launch a 100cc motorcycle in India by early 2013. The company which split from long term partner Hero currently does not have a 100cc motorcycle.

Mr Naresh Ranjan, the marketing head of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said the 100cc motorcycle will be out by early 2013. He did not elaborate any further details about the product.

Honda currently sells the Unicorn and the CB twister in the commuter bike segment. The company has expressed its interest to become one of the top three bike manufacturer in India and is working on increasing production its plans and will also open new plants.

Honda will soon begin manufacturing at its new plant in Rajastan and is expecting to build 1.2 million vehicles by March 2012. Honda will also open another plant in Karnataka with a similar production capacity by 2013.
