Bajaj Auto Posts 25% Sales Hike In November

Bajaj Auto is on a high following its November sales performance. India's second largest two wheeler manufacturer which launched the new Boxer 150 utility bike has said its motorcycles sales in November increased by 25 per cent to 3,31,967 units.

Bajaj Auto had sold 2,65,036 units in November 2010. Bajaj's total sales during November stood at 3,74,477 units also registering a 25 per cent growth. The company in its statement said its sales through exports had also increased to 1,29,256 units from 90,869 units in November 2010 marking a 42 per cent increase.

Bajaj's biggest seller has been the Discover commuter bike followed by the Pulsar sports bike. The recently launched Boxer 150 utility bike has also been successful thanks to its low price and high power. The new boxer had a silent launch but the sales have been very positive.

Bajaj Auto which also builds commercial vehicles said this division also saw an improvement in sales at 24 per cent. The company sold 42,510 units as against the 34.195 commercial vehicles sold in November 2010.
