Yamaha sales have grown to 19.2% on October. Yamaha attributes the growth in sale to the launch of new models and the sale is against the one achieved in the same month last year. The company"s sale this October is 37,251 units to 31,247 units in 2009 October while the sale in domestic market stood at 31,791 units this October against 26,879 units in October 2009.

The volume of export stood at 5,460 units this October against 4,368 units in 2009 October. The company"s Director for sales and marketing part of Indian wing said that the response has been overwhelming for the premium bikes like YZF-R 15 and FZ series. The commercial units under SZ too received good response through the sale of YBR 125 and YBR 110 making the sale volume higher. He said the company has been on the verge of meeting the demands by delivering the vehicles for the bookings made during this festive occasion.

Amidst this sale strait, Yamaha India is still racing against establishing its brand image in India in the global context with marketing strategies which include Yamaha R15 One Mark Race, Yamaha Safety Riding Service for youth and kids. Above all to reach the mass there is an increased number of dealers in the country"s 2-tier and 3-tier cities. In addition there is an offer to have sub-dealers in select cities.
