TVS Sales Increase By 35 Percent In July 2010
The Hosur based two wheeler major, TVS has shown 35 percent increase in its two-wheeler sales to 1,63,106 units last month as against 1,20,944 units in July 2009. This boost in sales was largely fueled by the 54 percent raise in exports made by the company.
According to the company's statement, the cumulative sales of TVS's two wheelers during the April to July 2010 period surged by 32 percent to 6,19,147 as against 4,68,085 units sold during the same period last year. In July 2010, TVS has exported 20,000 units as against 13,000 units in July 2009.
In the domestic market, the company has sold 61,051 bikes last month when compared to the 42,998 bikes during the same period last year. TVS is also witnessed surge in three-wheeler (TVS King) sales, according to the company's reports, in July 2010, the company has sold more than 3000 units for the second consecutive month. The company has sold 3,108 units in July 2010 as against a 1,026 units in July 2009.
