HMSI To Pour Rs. 500 crore In Its Second Plant By 2011

Honda 2 wheelers is focusing on increasing its production tremendously due to the promising demand from the customers and therefore has planned to infuse Rs. 500 crore in the new plant. The new plant of HMSI in Alwar, Rajasthan will function in full flow from mid 2011 and will produce 6 lakh units of Honda 2 wheelers per anum.

The first plant at Manesar, Haryana will be ramped up for producing 15 lakh units per anum.

Honda is parallely providing high end powerful bikes also. Apart from the CB 1000R and CB 1000 RR, Honda will also provide the VFR 1200 power bike which will cost more than 13 lakhs.

Honda 2 wheelers sales constitue of 50 % of motorcycles and the remaining are the Activa like scooters. Among the imported bikes, Honda has sold 100 units across the country.
