Harley Davidson - ICICI Tie Up
Harley Davidson has tied up with ICICI bank for facilitation the bike buyers with finance. According to Harley-Davidson's MD, Anoop Prakash told reports that the bike maker has made an arrangement with ICICI Bank for making available finance to buyers for the bikes. Harley Davidson has opened outlets at Hyderabad and Chandigarh and will open three more showrooms in the coming months.
Harley Davidson has launched 12 models in India from the range of five motorcycle families, namely Sportster, Dyna, VRSC, Softail and CVO. The bikes are priced between Rs 6.90 lakh and Rs 35 lakh. During 2011, Harley Davidson will open its outlets in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore during 2010 and Chennai, Kolkata, Gujarat and Kerala during 2011.
Harley Davidson has no targets as of now, regarding sales, because the company feels that the above 800 cc capacity bikes are new to Indians and it has to wait and watch on how the sales proceed in the coming years. The market size for costly bikes is 700 and will continue to grow in forthcoming years.
