Bajaj Aims For 70% Overseas Sales
Bajaj Auto is aiming for 70 percent sales from rest of the world market. This will increase the competition with Honda Motor in markets like Africa, Latin America and Asia. Bajaj had been gaining 30 percent of its sales from overseas market in 2009.
MD of Bajaj, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj said that Bajaj will take some years to establish in other markets but still the company has lots of business space if it only focuses on motorcycles.
Bajaj's joint ventures with KTM and Kawasaki will help the company to gain more market share in world market so as to grab the share of Honda and other Chinese motorcycle companies.
If Bajaj needs to expand itself and win other motorcycles, it must compete with Honda that sells 9.64 million motorcycles in 2009 including the Indian sales of Hero Honda motors. But, experts say that they can easily beat the Chinese motorcycles.
