Honda Launches Superbikes

Honda recently announced its plan to invest a further 300 crore rupees in the Indian markets in the next three years. This will partly be to upgrade existing models and also to produce a new 100 cc bike.

Honda hopes to capture the masses with the smaller engine bike. Honda has unveiled its famous CBR1000R and CBR1000RR Fireblade bikes to be sold in India henceforth. The bikes will cost Rs 9.5 and 12.5 lakhs respectively.

The CBR series is well known among the bike enthusiast community and Honda has set a target of selling 100 bikes in the first year. With this plan, Honda will have a diverse portfolio with a product in all segments. This seems to be Honda's stratergy to combat the economic meltdown.
