Bajaj Launches Platina 125 DTS-Si
Announcing the country-wide launch, Bajaj Auto General Manager (Marketing) Amit Nandi told newspersons here that of late there was attraction towards 125 cc two wheelers in the market and the market share of the company was about 40 per cent in this segment Stating that the company would come out with two more 125 cc two wheelers variants in the next six month, he said the two-wheeler segment was doing well with the selling of 80,000 motorcycles per month in 2007-08 and this year it had already touched one lakh mark.
Mr Nandi said the new Platina 125 cc with 'Digital Twin Spark-Swirl induction (DTS-sI) engine, second motorcyle on this engine platform was part of the strategy to catalyze the migration of 100 cc customers to superior performing 125 cc products.
Available in four colours, Platina 125 DTS-Si was priced at Rs 39,000 ex-showroom.
