The city of our choice, is Thanjavur, an important city in the south that is well known for its rich religion, art, and architecture. Known as the ‘Rice Bowl of India', Thanjavur has a lot of offer and the best way to explore the city was on the trusted TVS Wego.

The journey started off through the busy streets, which was a breeze for the Wego to handle, and made our way to the famous Brihadeeswarar Temple, better known as the ‘Thanjai Periya Kovil' locally, and for good reasons.

The temple, built during the 10th century AD by the Chola Empire, is one of the largest temples in India and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. The apex structure on the top of the temple, called ‘Kumbam' weighs a whopping 80 tons. The architecture sure did inspire others, like how the Body Balance Technology was first featured in the Wego, that other manufacturers soon adopted.

Moving on, agriculture is an important part of the economy, and hence the chosen location for Pongal. Known as the festival of harvest, farmers were already in the spirit. Pongal is a festival that showcases the heritage and the culture of the Tamilians at its best, since agriculture is regarded very important.

Farmers for example, keep a close eye on the fields, paying respect to the wonderful harvest and a bright future. Families often repaint their houses during this time around, without noisy equipment seen in a city.

In the calm, serene surrounding, away from multi storey buildings, traffic jams, and deafening city noises, the TVS Wego felt perfectly at home. The strength of the farmers reflected some of the aspects of the Wego, and one of the most noticeable ones was the build quality.

The telescopic front suspension soaked up pot holes on the relatively broken rural roads and the Sync Brake System, that applies both brakes in a balanced proportion while engaging the front or the rear brake showcased that advanced technology meant for the city is equally important in such places too.
