MG M9 Presidential Limousine: Redefining India’s Electric Luxury Segment
India's luxury car market is changing, and it is doing so quietly. Buyers who once defaulted to a petrol or diesel flagship are now considering electric alternatives, as they look to cocoon themselves on the road from the noise that disrupts our everyday lives.
The M9 went on sale nearly a year ago and has already crossed 3,000 sales. It is sold through MG SELECT, the firm's luxury sales channel. With its luxurious cabin that stays silent and its electric drivetrain, the MG M9 has become the limousine of choice for independent business owners and for families looking for a practical everyday luxury car. Let's take a deep dive into the MG M9 and see just what makes that magic happen...

MG M9 Exterior Design - Presidential Presence
The MG M9 makes its presence felt without leaning on bulk. Clean, smooth surfaces and slim LED lighting give the luxury MPV a polished, restrained look, and at over 5.2 metres long with a 3.2-metre wheelbase, its proportions suit the Presidential billing.
Split LED headlights with DRLs lead the front end, while integrated LED tail lights finish the rear. Electric sliding doors open the way into the cabin, which keeps every arrival and exit smooth and unfussy. Buyers can pick from three finishes: Metal Black, Pearl White with Black Roof and Concrete Grey with Black Roof.

MG M9 Interior - A Lounge That Moves With You
The M9's large electric sliding doors open to a wide, bright cabin that keeps the noise out, with dual sunroofs and large glass panels letting the light in. Soft-touch leather and brushed metallic inserts cover the surfaces.

The Presidential seats in the second row are the highlight of the MG M9's cabin. They offer 16-way adjustment, 8-way massage, heating and ventilation, and recline fully, with a 4-way adjustable footrest and a lateral shift function for stretching out.
Rear passengers have separate controls for the important features, while a 13-speaker JBL audio system, adjustable ambient lighting and wireless charging round out the cabin. A flat floor gives legroom across all three rows. The boot space stretches up to 1,720 litres, and a 55-litre frunk adds more storage under the bonnet.

MG M9 Powertrain and Driving - Quiet Power, Long Range
The silence of the cabin carries into the way the MG M9 drives. A 90 kWh battery pack feeds a single front-mounted electric motor that produces 242 bhp and 350 Nm and drives the front wheels. The battery offers a 548 km ARAI-certified range.

When the time comes to top up the battery, the 11 kW AC charger fills the pack overnight at home, and DC fast charging at up to 160 kW takes it from 0 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes, while a full charge takes just 90 minutes.
Power is instant and builds linearly, enough for overtaking on the highway but not too spritely that it pushes you back every time the throttle pedal is pressed. The steering is light in the city and firms up on the highway, and the MPV is easy to drive for its size and it offers a commanding view of the road and good visibility all round. Road and wind noise stay well contained at highway speeds despite the boxy shape and large wheels.

MG M9 Safety - Peace Of Mind For Every Drive
The MG M9 is offered with seven airbags and an ultra-high-strength steel body that helped it score a 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Level 2 ADAS covers lane, front and side collision alerts, and a driver monitoring system is fitted.
The M9's 19-inch wheels are shod with Continental tyres that feature self-sealing technology, which removes the need for roadside tyre changes, spare tyres or immediate assistance in case of a puncture.
