Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance author, Robert Pirsig passes away and here’s a little tribute to the author.
For a kid who grew up in the late 80's or the early 90's, the best read was a prestigious book called 'Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance'.

The author, Robert Pirsig speaks about a father-son motorcycle trip across the western United States. Fast forward today, we carry some heartbreaking news as the author is no more, and his wife, Wendy had confirmed the author's death at his home in Maine.

Pirsig died ‘after a period of failing health'. He was 88 years old. After his death, Pirsig's fans took to social media to pay tribute to the author.

The book, a semi-autobiographical novel was initially published in 1974, after being rejected by more than 100 publishers. The book sold over 5 million copies globally.

Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance is based on a road-trip Pirsig took with his 11-year-old son and two friends in 1968. In 1991, Pirsig released the second novel – Lila: An Inquiry Into Morals – picking up where his first book left readers.

The second book was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1992. Pirsig is now survived by his wife Wendy and two children.
