YouTuber Sourav Joshi Claims E20 Fuel Dropped His Mercedes Mileage From 17 km/l To 5 km/l

YouTube vlogger Sourav Joshi claims that after using E20 petrol, the mileage of his Mercedes-Benz SUV has dropped significantly, and the issue has now gone viral across the internet. His recent comments regarding E20 fuel have reignited long-standing doubts and theories surrounding this type of fuel.

YouTuber Sourav Joshi Claims E20 Fuel Returns Less Mileage

India's most popular daily vlogger and YouTube celebrity, Sourav Joshi, has made a major remark about ethanol-blended petrol. In a recent video, the vlogger claimed that after using E20 fuel, his Mercedes is returning just 5 km/l, a huge drop from 17 km/l.

The vlogger also shared his dashboard readings to support his claim. Sourav Joshi drives a Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC petrol, and according to him, the mileage of his vehicle dropped within 48 hours of using E20 petrol.

He said, "Yesterday I showed you our car's mileage had gone from 17 straight down to nine," Joshi told viewers. "And do you know what it has become today? Today it has reached five... look at this, it's showing a mileage of five." The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC has a claimed fuel efficiency of 15 km/l, although the actual mileage varies depending on driving conditions and terrain.

Joshi claimed that earlier, a full tank of fuel would deliver around 800 km of range, but now it offers only 480 km. He also expressed concerns about the high after-sales and service costs associated with owning a Mercedes-Benz. Luckily, he owns an EV version of the Same Mercedes Benz car which offsets the high operational costs.

However, the government has denied such claims. Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri has said that such reports are propaganda and misinformation. Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has also challenged people to show even one vehicle that has developed issues because of E20 fuel.
