Riding Without Helmet — Woman Kicks Cop
A woman assaulted a traffic police constable and kicked a sub-inspector in Delhi after being stopped by the Police fot not wearing a helmet.
A woman assaulted a traffic police constable and kicked another sub-inspector after being stopped for not wearing a helmet. The incident took place in Delhi.
The couple, Praveen and Sonam were stopped at the Delhi Cantonment area by a policeman for not wearing a helmet. Constable Amit stopped the duo.
When asked for documents, the couple refused to cooperate. Police stated that Praveen started abusing them. When cops asked them to pay the penalty, Sonam grabbed constables collar and tore his uniform.
Immediately, the constable called the helpline and asked for a female police officer. A woman sub-inspector arrived at the spot.
Sonam allegedly kicked the female sub-inspector in the abdomen. The sub-inspector collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. Later a FIR was registered, both Praveen and Sonam were arrested based on the complaint of constable.
Both the accused were produced before a duty magistrate. They were remanded to judicial custody till June 9, 2017. A senior Police officer stated that Praveen started arguing with the constable after being stopped.
