Women On Scooter Crushed By Hydraulic Crane While Changing Lane
A CCTV footage captured a tragc accident of a women on scooter being crushed by a hydraulic crane.
In a shocking accident in Mumbai, a woman rider was crushed by a hydraulic crane while changing lane. The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera.
The main reason behind this tragic accident is the bad roads. Yes, the deceased 34-year-old Shilpa Puri was heading home from work, and near Utsav Chowk near Kharghar, she fell on the road due to a broken patch of road.

The video shows that Shilpa was riding her scooter and when she notices the broken patch of road, she tries to get on the smooth tarmac by changing lanes. But unfortunately, due to the uneven road surface, she couldn't balance the scooter and fell.

A hydraulic crane was right behind Shilpa, and she was instantly crushed under the massive vehicle. The worst part of the incident is yet to come. The helper of the crane saw Shilpa getting crushed under the wheels and they didn't even bother to stop. Instead, the vehicle kept moving as if nothing had happened.

Behind Shilpa, there were three guys on the motorcycle and they saw the entire incident. But they too decided to flee from the spot. Several people notice her lying on the road, but nobody comes forward to help.

After few minutes, a biker stops and informs the Police. Finally, the Police arrive at the scene and makes necessary arrangement to rush Shilpa to the hospital. Sadly, it was too late and she was declared dead.
So, who is responsible for this accident? Whenever a road is being repaired, there should be some signboards or the part of the road should be cordoned off. Unaware of the bad patch of road, the rider suddenly decided to change lanes which led to the tragic accident.

So could this accident have been avoided? Definitely yes. If there were any caution signs about the road being repaired, the rider could have changed the lane well and before. But in most of the cases, riders are blamed for such accidents.

As a rider, we should be careful while changing lanes in busy traffic. Do not attempt to change lanes suddenly as the vehicle on the other lane might end up hitting you. Always keep an eye on the rearview mirror before attempting to change lanes.
