Woman Dies After Cop Pulls Out Key From Moving Motorcycle
A woman lost her life after a cop pulled out key from a moving motorcycle in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh.
In recent times, two-wheelers has outnumbered the cars on the roads. So, traffic police often target riders by pulling them over to check documents, although it's illegal.
Cops often pull over the rider for checking the documents. Now, this practice has cost the life of a woman in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh.

A cop pulled out the key out of a moving motorcycle, which caused the rider to lose control. The pillion woman rider fell on the road and was run over by a truck. As per law, a cop cannot pull the keys out of a vehicle.

The incident took place at a Police check post in Auto Nagar, Visakhapatnam. The Traffic Police constable used the key pull out method the stop the two-wheeler which caused the death of a woman.

The rider was also seriously injured, he was wearing a helmet, and the woman was not wearing one. The truck tyre ran over the head of the woman which caused instant death.

As per eyewitnesses, the traffic police suddenly jumped in front of the motorcycle and pulled out the key. The rider couldn't control the bike and fell on the middle of the road. The people who witnessed this mishap were agitated and thrashed the cops.

If the key is pulled out of a moving motorcycle, the engine will shut down, and the engine braking will be applied. This causes the rider to lose control. As per an order from Supreme Court, cops can't pull you over to check documents.
To avoid such situation always slow down when a cop stops you. If at all a cop pulls the key, immediately apply the clutch which will keep the bike rolling. And you can also file a case against a cop who tries to stop you by pulling the key.
