Dramatic Scenes As Woman And Dog Are Saved From A Sinking Car

A woman and her dog were rescued from certain death after her car was washed away by floodwaters in the US state of Louisiana.

The lady and her dog were stuck in the convertible, which was sinking into the floodwaters when rescuers on a boat appeared on the site.

They first tried to smash her window in, but when that failed, one of the rescuers tore the fabric roof off with his bare hands to help her get out. The rescuer then saved the woman's dog after she pointed out that it was still inside the sinking car.
