Video: WagonR Crashes Into Concrete Wall And Swift Dzire; Occupants Safe
The violent accident left both the cars damaged and a cement wall broken in Western Karnataka.
In a country with millions of people and vehicles, accidents are very common and we hear about accidents killing people everyday. But we often do forget how intense an accident is, just because we have not seen it. Here in this video, we can see how scary it really can be.
The incident happened at Mastikatte in Moodbidri, which is located 34 kilometres away from Mangalore in Karnataka. The footage is from a closed circuit camera and captures the extent of the damage done to the building it was installed on - Manvita Apartments.
It is safe to assume that the car, which appears to be a Maruti Suzuki WagonR was overspeeding when the driver, who was later identified as Ronnie Mastikatte lost control of the car and ended slamming the compound wall of the apartment building. The car then bounced off the wall, hit a parked Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and fell on its side.
All the people involved in the accident were unhurt except for Ronnie, who sustained a few bruises. The driver of the parked Swift Dzire had got out of the car just a few seconds before the accident but a woman and a child were still in the car when the WagonR flew into it. It was therefore, a miraculous escape for them.
The Accident most likely happened because of hydroplaning, as the roads were wet and the car was speeding.
