Social media is creating safety risks. Recently, a video of a Mahindra Thar with blacked-out windows and no number plate went viral. The driver scared people for views and fun. Noida police have fined the car owner Rs 35,000 for their actions.
The Incident
The video shared on Reddit, shows a black Mahindra Thar causing chaos. Its windows are darkly tinted, and the number plate is missing. Instead, it displays "Gurjar." The video starts with the Thar driving close to a female pedestrian, scaring her.

This incident was repeated with another girl and then a group of young men. The Thar driver approached them closely, causing fear. The video quickly gained attention online.
A user on X (formerly Twitter) reshared the video, calling for police action. "This vehicle with black glass number HR30Z4504 puts people's lives in danger," the user wrote. Noida police soon reported an investigation.
Following this, the police announced a Rs 35,000 fine for the Thar owner. The penalties cover multiple violations, including dangerous driving and traffic rule breaches.
Legal Violations
The Thar owner was fined under various sections: RC 39/192 MV Act, dangerous driving 184 MV Act, and several other traffic rules. The car had a faulty number plate, dark tint windows, and other violations. Charges also included disobedience of lawful directions and air pollution violations under the MV Act.
Public Reaction
Netizens praised the quick response by Noida police. Many called for immediate fines for such drivers. "Thanks for your prompt action. We must set examples in society to maintain law and order," said one user.
