'VIP' Registration Numbers That Went For Lakhs

The latest news relating to the sale of a ‘VIP' registration number comes from Chandigarh.
Mahant Chhotu Nath, a priest of Shri Guru Gorakshnath Sidh Hanuman Mandir in Sector 19 is now the satisfied owner of registration number ‘CH01-AR-0001', for which he paid INR 10.5 lakh. Mahant owns an Audi Q7 worth INR 60 lakh. Here are some other examples of expensive vehicle registration numbers auctioned.
The auction held by the registration and licensing authority which sold Mahant's INR 10.5 lakh worth registration number also auctioned three other numbers for INR 4.20 lakh (-0100), INR 4 lakh (-0009) and INR 3.5 lakh (-0002)
