Accordingly, once when Mahatma Gandhi visited Mysore, Karnataka, he travelled in a car called the Studebaker President 8.
You can still see that car in person, as it is on display at the Byrraju Car Museum near Mysore. The Byrraju Car Museum was recently opened. Located on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, this car museum was designed in a tyre-shaped building to attract visitors. The Studebaker President 8 car used by Gandhiji here was manufactured in 1929. Studebaker is an American car company.
